Reducing Your Taxes in Your Retirement Years

Reducing Your Taxes in Your Retirement Years

Are you interested in reducing your retirement tax burden through Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) and Required Minimum Distributions (RMD’s)?

SCC is hosting a one hour presentation from Gary Smith, First Vice President-Financial Advisor at RBC Wealth Management (Eugene, Oregon) a division of the Royal Bank of Canada. Gary has over 30 years of wealth management advisory experience and will effectively:

  • Explain steps that you must take to use a QCD to reduce taxable income-resulting in lower taxes

  • How QCDs can be used to reduce the tax on your RMD

  • Review the impact of using QCD’s to help keep Medicare premiums from rising for high income retirees

This seminar is for you:

  • If you are currently retired or nearing retirement

  • Want to be updated on current rules and steps for contributions

  • Interested in lowering your taxes through charitable contributions

The session will be held in the SCC Fireside room from 6-7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13th. Dessert and beverages will be provided. SCC believes this presentation will be extremely beneficial. Please confirm your attendance by clicking this, finding the signup sheet at the Welcome Center, or by contacting Rob Keranen SCC Director of Operations, rkeranen@sisterschurch.com or 541.550.8824.
