Virtual Auction for Faith Seeds August 17-25

One of our SCC Global Partners, Faith Seeds, is hosting a virtual auction August 17-25. The funds raised will help to cover to costs of their after-school program, La Escuelita. La Escuelita serves 193 children, and provides a safe place, tutoring and homework support, nutritious meals, access to school supplies, and a computer lab. La Escuelita began after Faith Seeds’ staff noticed that while they were getting children into school, the children were still struggling to keep up with their peers. Many of these children live in one room homes with dirt floors, and have no access to water or electricity much or all of the time. Malnutrition is very prevalent there as well. La Escuelita closes this gap by offering tutoring, homework help, meal, and groceries. Since La Escuelita began, the Faith Seeds’ staff have seen a vast improvement in grades, school attendance, and matriculation! 

This virtual auction will support the operational costs of La Escuelita, including staff, school supplies, and meals that go into running this program.
